Posted: 84 Days ago We are looking for an experienced person to work alongside our small friendly team for the Breeding Season in the day to day running of our Thoroughbred Stud Farm. The applicant should have experience of working with and handling mares, foals, weanlings and yearlings. Enthusiasm and ability to work as a team are crucial attributes. Hours Monday to Friday plus every other weekend. 7.30 start until 4 with a break for breakfast and lunch. Weekend work is the same start time but after all that is needed has been done you can leave but come back at around 2/2.30 to bring in horses and feed around. On your weekend off you do not work. The duties will cover all aspects of work required on a Stud Farm. We have a machine to help with the mucking out so takes a lot of the hard work away and therefore makes it much easier. Experiencing of driving a tractor would be helpful. If you can drive a small horse box this would also be helpful as job could include taking mares/mares & foals for covering to the local stallions.
