We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Yearling/Yard Manager to join our team at Culworth Grounds Farm and oversee the care, development, and handling of our young horses. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with a strong background in equine care and a passion for bringing on the next generation of athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of staff. Assign duties, provide training, and conduct performance reviews.

Horse Management: Oversee the daily care of all horses, including grooming, feeding and ensuring their health and well-being. Manage horse workloads to ensure their wellbeing.

Yard Maintenance: Maintain a clean and tidy yard environment, ensuring all equipment is in good working order and the yard is presented to a high standard.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all horse activities, including vet records, farrier visits, and rider information.

 

Requirements:

• Proven experience working with yearlings or young horses

• Strong leadership and organizational skills

• Confident in handling young, spirited horses

• Knowledge of equine health, feeding, and conditioning

• High standards of care, cleanliness, and safety

• Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
