Staff Handbook Creator

The Staff Handbook Creator is an easy to follow process, where you can select options and upload your own company logo to create a Staff Handbook - bespoke for your equestrian business.

Built in partnership with Bindmans Solicitors LLP, the Staff Handbook will give you the peace of mind that you are complying with the law.

Under the Employment Rights Act 1996 employers are required to provide details of their disciplinary and grievance procedures to their employees.

benefits include:

  • Create a bespoke Staff Handbook with all of the standard policies included – such as equal opportunities, absence management and social media policy.
  • Tailored to your yard, allowing you to clearly set out the standard of conduct which is expected from your staff.
  • It provides guidance to managers in terms of how to handle a particular situation, such as sickness absence, and ensures that all staff are treated in the same way.

The EEA Staff Handbook Creator, includes equine specific policies and allows you to make it bespoke to your yard and business.

The Facts

  1. What is a staff handbook

A Staff Handbook allows an employer to communicate all its policies, practices and procedures in one place.

It gives a clear vision of what is expected from both parties, without having to include all that detail in the employment contract.

  2. When must I give it

It is good practice to give an employee their staff handbook when they begin their employment.

EEA members can download an 'Acknowledgement of Receipt Letter' template for their employees to sign once they have read, and understood the staff handbook.

  3. Can I write it myself

You can, but we wouldn't advise it.

Reviewed by our EEA Legal Team, the Staff Handbook Creator will give you the peace of mind that you are complying with the law.

Under the Employment Rights Act 1996 employers are required to provided in writing details of their disciplinary and grievance procedures within the Contract of Employment or the Staff Handbook.
