GROOMS JOBS BOARD

We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Stud Groom to join our small friendly team. The applicant should have  spent a significant amount of time working with mares, foals, weanlings and yearlings on a Thoroughbred Stud Farm.

The role includes general stud duties of which the applicant will be familiar and to be involved with the day-to- day management of the stud.   EXPERIENCE of FOALING is ESSENTIAL as this is dealt with on a shared basis with the Stud Groom during the Season.  The job will also involve sales prep for yearlings and foals. 

Enthusiasm attention to detail and ability to work with our friendly team. The good part is that we have a machine to help with the mucking out thus taking a lot of the agro out of the job.  

Previous experience of handling staff would be helpful for obvious reasons as the applicant will need to be able to run things in the absence of the Stud Groom. Applicant must be able to drive and have a clean licence and also be able to drive a small horsebox and a tractor.
