Max Comley Racing is based in the idyllic village of Naunton, the heart of the Cotswolds. Max started his career as a point-to-point rider but in 2019, turned his attentions to training racehorses. Starting with just 5 horses, Max has grown to over 35 horses in training based at a fantastic purpose-built training facility.

Job Role:

We are looking for a competent, responsible person to join our team.  We would like someone who can ride out, drive a two box and is happy to go racing on a regular basis.

We travel to Lambourn regularly to ride work and school and this will be a part of your job role.

This position is offered with a Level 3 Qualification Apprenticeship – fully funded - as well as a Level 3 Transport Qualification. This qualification is fulfilled by our partner – Sheldrake Training – fully workplace based.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about horses and racing alike, very reliable with good timekeeping skills and a team player.

Experience in the racing industry is preferred but not essential as other capable riders from an eventing or show jumping background will be considered.

Driving licence is desirable.

Hours:

40 Hours a week + Overtime.

Contract and Wages:

Full time.

Negotiable based on experience + racing expenses and pool money.

Accommodation:

Excellent on-site accommodation available – shared in a beautifully refurbished cottage.
