We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our small team at our riding school and livery yard. Initially to work on the yard, helping to provide all aspects of the daily care of our 14 horses. For the right candidate there is the opportunity to teach.

The position will include:

  • Bringing in & Turning out.
  • Mucking out.
  • Feeding
  • Grooming & Tacking up.
  • General yard tidying.
  • Opportunity to ride / teach for the right candidate.
  • The role will include one weekend day per week as rota’d
  • Initially 5 – 12 hours per week depending on the candidate and availability.

The ideal candidate will have:

Essential Skills

Desired Skills

Have a good general knowledge of equine husbandry

Have experience working on a yard

Be reliable, enthusiastic and friendly

Be qualified to BHS stage 2 or equivalent

Be able to work well as part of a team and independently

Have previous teaching experience

Be able to work time efficiently whilst maintaining a high standard of work

Be able to ride a variety of horses competently up to BHS stage 3 level

Be organised and able to manage their own work load

 

Pay dependent on age, qualifications and experience. Full employment contract provided, holiday pay etc.
