BGA Launched Certified BGA Freelancers

4th November 2019

Any freelance groom running their own business knows how important it is to stand out to their clients as a professional.

And anyone looking for the services of a freelance groom wants to ensure that a freelance groom is reliable, compliant and have their horses’ welfare as a priority.

The British Grooms Association (BGA) has developed the Certified BGA Freelancers to really help set professional freelance grooms apart.

What is it?
It’s an online self-certification which freelance grooms have pledged to a series of commitments about their business and the principles/way they work.

These cover compliance, business management, welfare and wellbeing and professional conduct.

The principles are not optional, and have been identified as important following research with the freelance groom network.

Upon completion everyone who has pledged will receive a digital Certified BGA Freelancer logo that can be used on their own marketing material and social media to easily identify themselves as a Certified BGA Freelancer.

The certification is designed to help freelance grooms set themselves apart as trusted and compliant professionals with the welfare of the horses in their care at the core of their business.

Promoting best practise for all concerned in the workplace is at the heart of the BGA’s expectations for a Certified BGA Freelancer.

It is free for BGA members to become a Certified BGA Freelancer – find out more.
